Welcome to the B.R.I.D.G.E Seminar Series

Strengthen and learn academic and professional English Skills for Successful Living in the US, Get Familiar with WPI’s campus resources established to support you on your academic journey. 

BRIDGE is your 14-week success roadmap, designed to help you Build Relationships, Gain Independence, Develop essential skills, and Grow within the WPI academic community- all the while strengthening your English skills and earning a Digital Badge.  

This interactive program includes coursework, workshops led by experts and instructor-led interactive sessions that will equip you with the tools you need to thrive through your academic journey at WPI and beyond. 

Learn from the Career Development Center (CDC) on job searching, career exploration, resume building, and interview skills. 

Connect with other international graduate students and establish your connection to campus. 

Bridge the gap between academics and life and build a strong foundation for your graduate journey!

1. Is this a required course for all International Students? ⏷
2. Is this the same as an English as a Second Language (ESL) course? ⏷
3. Do I have to take the WPI Versant Skills Assessment if I have already passed another language proficiency exam i.e TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo? ⏷
4. What is the Digital Badge? ⏷

How to Register:

  1. From the Academics app, under Planning & Registration, click Find Course Sections.
  2. Enter Start Date within and Academic Level, click OK.
  3. Search for ESL 500
  4. Right-click a course title to See in New Tab, then click Register.
  5. Click the checkbox or the appropriate course section if there is more than one; click OK. Click Done.
