eBook: Soft Skills Are Not Hard to Achieve
Every job requires a set of technical skills, or "hard skills." Accountants need a solid foundation of math with an understanding of laws and regulations. Doctors go through years of schooling and training to learn how the body operates, the effects of certain medications, and what steps to take to cure their patients. Having that formal education is necessary to do your job and do it well. What ultimately drives you to success and sets you apart from others is pairing that formal education with soft skills.
Soft skills go beyond the technical side of education. It is a skill set of positive attributes that is gained through experiences and developed over time. Soft skills tap into the humanistic side of things, how we operate as an individual and our interactions with others. Soft skills allow us to understand human nature and apply that knowledge to our job.
